Custom Canal Boat Dock and Seawall
Looking at the photo below, this custom canal boat dock and seawall may look normal, but this project highlights a specific challenge canal-front homeowners face in Florida. Permitting often restricts building out onto the water like other boat docks, so Q-ICE Builders engineered a solution where the boat dock was cut into the yard and reinforced with an additional seawall now covered by the dock.
Accomplishing this project on the Butler Chain of Lakes combines expertise with boat docks and seawalls since the two are connected. The result is a striking waterfront upgrade that blends style, utility, and long-term shoreline protection.

Enhancing this design is a hydraulic deck-over lift, installed flush with the decking and capable of lowering the boat into the water with ease. This style of lift is a favorite among homeowners because it preserves the full square footage of the dock—perfect for entertaining, relaxing, or simply enjoying the view.
